UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE:  Taxpayer cost $110 billion a year!  And Dems say this is not a government run program??????   Mandatory coverage for everyone.   More government bureaucracy and more regulation.  Do we really want more of that?    Also, there are not 47 million uninsured.  That figure includes low income families with children who are covered under State Childrens' Programs.  And it includes the elderly covered by Medicare.  Also it includes young, healthy  people who prefer NOT to spend a significant amount of their earnings for something they most probably will not use.  A good option for them is employer sponsored Health Savings Plans.  Why aren't such plans being more widely promoted?   ***

MORE NAFTA GRIEF:    A 10 Lane Highway from Mexico's southern ports through U.S. on into Canada is well on the way to become realty!   Talk about Border Security.  There will be none.   This fiasco will provide 5 truck lanes and 5 passenger lanes coming and going with headquarters in Kansas City run by Mexico!  Already 90% of illegal drugs enter the U.S. from Mexico.  Did the drug cartels engineer this monstrosity?  They say that we the people have no say about this as the NAFTA Agreement provides for it.   Please tell me why Americans should be responsible for taking care of impoverished Mexicans especially when the richest man in the world is a Mexican named Carlos  Slim? ***  

   Citizens Against Government Waste tell us the names of about 3,250 federal government programs and budget dollar amounts which can be cut altogether or revised.  The largest is Adult Medicaid. Their recommendation  is to merge this program into Block Grants.  Savings: $83,240 mil. over 5 years.

FEDERAL FOOD & DRUG ADM (FDA) is asking for more resources (tax $) to do their job.  Shouldn't we ask they give back first the $35 million in bonuses they paid themselves last year?  Especially in light of the 4 months they floundered around trying to identify the current food illnesses?
